Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Weathercock: Or The Difference Between Faith And Sight is a book written by Cesar Malan, first published in 1830. The book is a religious allegory that explores the difference between faith and sight. The story follows the journey of a weathercock, a device used to show the direction of the wind, who becomes disillusioned with its purpose and seeks a deeper understanding of its existence. Along the way, the weathercock encounters various characters who represent different aspects of faith and sight, including a blind man who relies on his faith to navigate the world, and a scientist who only believes in what he can see and prove. Through these encounters, the weathercock learns the importance of faith and the limitations of relying solely on sight. The Weathercock is a thought-provoking and insightful work that challenges readers to consider the role of faith and belief in their own lives. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
