Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Indian and Spanish Neighbors is a historical non-fiction book written by Julia Harriette Johnston and published in 1905. The book provides an account of the author's experiences living in the American Southwest during the late 19th century, specifically in the border region between New Mexico and Mexico. Johnston describes the unique cultural and social dynamics of the area, which was home to both Native American tribes and Spanish settlers. She also explores the complex relationships between these groups and the US government, which was attempting to exert control over the region at the time. Through her detailed observations and personal anecdotes, Johnston offers a fascinating glimpse into a little-known chapter of American history. Overall, Indian and Spanish Neighbors is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of the American West, Native American culture, or the interactions between different ethnic groups in the United States. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
