Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Moore's Fables for the Female Sex is a collection of satirical fables written by Edward Moore and published in 1806. The book is specifically aimed at women and uses humor and wit to comment on the social and moral issues of the time. The fables are written in verse and each one tells a story that teaches a lesson or moral. The characters in the fables are often animals or insects, and they behave in ways that reflect human behavior. The stories cover a range of topics, from love and marriage to friendship and gossip. Moore's Fables for the Female Sex was controversial when it was first published because it challenged traditional gender roles and stereotypes. Moore uses the fables to criticize the way women were treated in society and to argue for greater equality. Despite its initial controversy, Moore's Fables for the Female Sex has become a classic of English literature. It is still widely read today and is considered an important work in the history of feminist literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
