Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Travels of Lemuel Gulliver, Into Several Remote Nations of the World is a classic novel by Jonathan Swift, first published in 1726. The book is a satirical account of the travels of Lemuel Gulliver, a ship's surgeon who finds himself stranded in various strange and exotic lands. The book is divided into four parts, each detailing a different journey taken by Gulliver. In the first part, he finds himself in the land of Lilliput, where the people are only six inches tall. In the second part, he visits the land of Brobdingnag, where the people are giants. In the third part, he travels to the floating island of Laputa, where the inhabitants are obsessed with science and mathematics. In the final part, Gulliver visits the land of the Houyhnhnms, where horses are the intelligent and rational beings and humans are the savage and uncivilized creatures. Throughout his travels, Gulliver encounters various political, social, and moral issues, which Swift uses to satirize the society of his time. The Travels of Lemuel Gulliver is a timeless classic that continues to be read and enjoyed by readers of all ages. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
