Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Errors of Populism is a book written by Hermon Wilson Craven in 1896. The book delves into the political movement of populism, which was gaining traction in the United States during the late 19th century. Craven, a lawyer and political commentator, argues that the populist movement is misguided and harmful to the country's political and economic stability. He critiques the populist platform, which advocated for the direct election of senators, the use of silver as currency, and government control of the railroads. Craven argues that these policies would have disastrous consequences for the country, leading to inflation, economic instability, and a loss of individual liberty. He also critiques the populist leaders, such as William Jennings Bryan, for their demagoguery and lack of understanding of economic principles. The book provides a valuable historical perspective on the populist movement and its impact on American politics. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
