Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Friendly and Seasonable Advice to the Roman Catholics of England"" is a book written by Walter Farquhar Hook in 1829. The book is a call to Roman Catholics to embrace the principles of the Church of England and to reject the authority of the Pope. Hook argues that Catholicism is incompatible with the principles of freedom and democracy that are central to British society. He urges Catholics to adopt a more moderate and tolerant approach to their faith and to work towards reconciliation with the Anglican Church. The book is written in a friendly and persuasive tone, and is intended to promote understanding and dialogue between the two communities. It is an important historical document that sheds light on the religious and political tensions of the time, and provides insight into the attitudes of both Catholics and Anglicans towards each other. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
