Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Horae Jocoae Or The Doggerel Decameron: Being The Facetious Tales In Verse (1823) is a collection of humorous tales written in verse by Joseph Lunn. The book is modeled after Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron and is divided into ten days, each containing ten tales. The tales are written in a light-hearted and playful style, often poking fun at social conventions and the foibles of human nature. The subjects of the tales range from love and marriage to politics and religion. The book is a delightful read for those who enjoy witty and irreverent humor in verse form.To Which Are Added, Some Miscellaneous Pieces. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
