Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Second Book of London Visions is a collection of poems written by Robert Laurence Binyon and published in 1899. The book is a sequel to Binyon's earlier work, London Visions, and features new poems that explore the city of London and its people in a variety of ways. The poems in the Second Book of London Visions are written in a variety of styles and forms, including sonnets, ballads, and free verse. They cover a range of topics, from the bustling streets of the city to the quiet corners of its parks and gardens. Binyon's writing is richly descriptive, evoking the sights, sounds, and smells of London in vivid detail. Throughout the book, Binyon portrays London as a city of contrasts, where beauty and ugliness, wealth and poverty, and joy and sorrow exist side by side. He also explores the human experience in the city, touching on themes of loneliness, love, and the search for meaning in a fast-paced, ever-changing world. Overall, the Second Book of London Visions is a beautifully written and thought-provoking collection of poems that captures the essence of one of the world's greatest cities. It is a must-read for anyone interested in London, poetry, or the human experience in urban environments. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
