Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Tessa Wadsworth's Discipline is a novel written by Jennie M. Drinkwater and first published in 1879. The story follows the life of Tessa Wadsworth, a young woman who is sent to live with her aunt and uncle after her father's death. Tessa's aunt and uncle are strict and demanding, and they impose a rigid discipline on Tessa's life. Tessa struggles to conform to their expectations and finds solace in her friendship with a young man named Frank. However, their relationship is threatened by Tessa's aunt and uncle, who disapprove of Frank's lower social status. As Tessa navigates the challenges of her new life, she must also confront her own desires and the limitations imposed on her by society. The novel is a portrait of Victorian society and its strict codes of conduct, as well as a coming-of-age story that explores the themes of love, independence, and self-discovery.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
