Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Testimonies Concerning Slavery is a book written by M.D. Conway in 1865. The book is a collection of firsthand accounts and testimonies from slaves who were held in bondage in the United States before the Civil War. The author, who was an abolitionist, compiled these accounts to shed light on the inhumane treatment of slaves and to expose the brutality of the slave system. The book includes stories of slaves who were separated from their families, subjected to physical and sexual abuse, and forced to work long hours in harsh conditions. The testimonies also reveal the resilience and strength of the slaves who fought for their freedom and resisted the oppressive system. Testimonies Concerning Slavery is a powerful and important historical document that provides a glimpse into the lives of those who suffered under the institution of slavery in America. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
