The Common English Version: An Argument Containing The Common English Version Of The Bible (1850) is a book written by Christopher Anderson. The book is a comprehensive argument in favor of the Common English Version of the Bible, which was published in 1841 by the American Bible Society. The book provides a detailed analysis and critique of the various translations of the Bible that were available at the time, arguing that the Common English Version is the most accurate and faithful to the original text. Anderson draws on his extensive knowledge of biblical languages and history to support his arguments, and provides numerous examples to illustrate the strengths and weaknesses of different translations. The book is intended for scholars, theologians, and anyone interested in the history and interpretation of the Bible. It is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to understand the nuances of biblical translation and the challenges of interpreting ancient texts in a modern context. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
