Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Pamela Or Virtue Rewarded V2 is a novel written by Samuel Richardson in 1902. It is the second volume of the two-part novel that tells the story of Pamela Andrews, a young and virtuous maid who resists the advances of her wealthy employer, Mr. B, and ultimately marries him. In this volume, Pamela continues to navigate the challenges of her new life as a lady and wife, including dealing with jealous and envious acquaintances, managing her household, and learning to love and trust her husband. She also faces a new threat in the form of Lady Davers, Mr. B's sister, who disapproves of Pamela and tries to undermine her position in the family. Throughout the novel, Richardson explores themes of morality, virtue, gender roles, and social class. He also uses Pamela's story as a commentary on the power dynamics and inequalities present in 18th-century England. Overall, Pamela Or Virtue Rewarded V2 is a classic work of English literature that offers a fascinating glimpse into the social and cultural norms of its time. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of the novel or the social history of England. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
