Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The Four Pamphlets of P. C. Passaglia on the Temporal Power of the Pope"" is a collection of four essays written by Carlo Passaglia in 1862. The essays explore the concept of temporal power, or the political authority of the Pope, and its relation to the Catholic Church. Passaglia argues that the temporal power is necessary for the Church to fulfill its mission, and that it is rooted in the divine will. He also critiques the political and social climate of his time, particularly the rise of secularism and nationalism, and argues that the temporal power is necessary to counter these forces. The book provides a historical and theological context for understanding the debate over the temporal power of the Pope, and sheds light on the complex relationship between the Church and the state. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
