Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Legend of Eros and Psyche is a classic retelling of the ancient Greek myth of the love between the god Eros and the mortal Psyche. Written by John Redwood Anderson and first published in 1908, this book tells the story of Psyche, a beautiful young woman who is so beautiful that people begin to worship her instead of the goddess Venus. Enraged, Venus sends her son Eros to make Psyche fall in love with a hideous monster. However, Eros falls in love with Psyche himself and begins to visit her in secret. Psyche, curious about her lover's identity, lights a lamp one night to see him, but accidentally burns him with hot oil. Eros flees, and Psyche is left alone and heartbroken. She embarks on a dangerous journey to win back Eros' love, facing trials and obstacles along the way. With its themes of love, jealousy, betrayal, and redemption, The Legend of Eros and Psyche is a timeless tale that has captivated readers for centuries. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
