Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Affected Young Ladies is a comedic play written by the French playwright Moliere in 1915. The play is set in 17th century France and follows the lives of two young women, Celimene and Arsinoe, who are obsessed with fashion and social status. They spend their days gossiping and preening themselves for the next social event, while ignoring the important issues of the day. As the play progresses, the two women become embroiled in a series of misunderstandings and mishaps, which ultimately lead to their downfall. Along the way, Moliere satirizes the vanity and superficiality of the French aristocracy, poking fun at their obsession with fashion and social status. The Affected Young Ladies is a classic example of Moliere's witty and irreverent style, and has been performed countless times since its original publication. The play is a timeless reminder of the dangers of vanity and the importance of focusing on what truly matters in life. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
