The Lambeth Version of Havelok is a book written by Edward Kirby Putnam in 1900. The book is a translation of a medieval English romance called Havelok the Dane, which tells the story of a young Danish prince named Havelok who is forced to flee his homeland after his father is killed by his enemies. Havelok ends up in England, where he becomes a servant in the household of a fisherman named Grim. Despite his lowly status, Havelok proves himself to be a brave and skilled warrior, and eventually becomes king of England.
