Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Plan of Creation, written by Robert Maclay Widney in 1878, is a philosophical and theological work that explores the idea of a divine plan for the universe. Widney argues that the universe was created with a purpose, and that this purpose is revealed through the laws of nature and the development of human civilization. He draws on a variety of sources, including the Bible, ancient mythology, and modern science, to support his arguments. The book is divided into three parts. The first part lays out Widney's basic philosophy of creation, arguing that the universe is a manifestation of God's will and that everything in it is interconnected. The second part explores the history of human civilization, tracing the development of religion, philosophy, and science from ancient times to the present day. The third and final part looks to the future, speculating on what the ultimate destiny of humanity might be and how we can work towards fulfilling our potential.Throughout the book, Widney emphasizes the importance of both reason and faith in understanding the plan of creation. He argues that science and religion are not mutually exclusive, but rather complementary ways of understanding the world around us. The Plan of Creation is a thought-provoking work that will appeal to anyone interested in philosophy, theology, or the history of civilization. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
