Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Auld Drainie and Brownie: A Reminiscence of 60 Years Ago is a book written by William Gairdner and published in 1903. The book is a memoir of Gairdner's childhood in the village of Auld Drainie, located in the north of Scotland. The book is a nostalgic look back at a simpler time, when life was slower and the people were closer to nature. Gairdner writes about the people he knew in Auld Drainie, including his family, friends, and neighbors. He also writes about the traditions and customs of the village, such as the annual fair and the local superstitions. One of the most memorable characters in the book is Brownie, a mischievous spirit who is said to inhabit the village.
