Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This vintage book contains a collection of letters written by Edward Lear. A fascinating and enlightening catalogue of correspondences, "Letters of Edward Lear" will appeal to those with an interest in Lear's personal life, and constitutes a must-read for fans and collectors of his work. Edward Lear (1812 - 1888), was an English musician, author, poet, and artist. He is most famous for the literary nonsense contained within his popular poetry and prose - and especially his limericks; a form he popularised. Many antiquarian texts such as this, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are increasingly hard to come by and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this book now in an affordable, modern, high quality edition. It comes complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
