Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Though the absolute numbers ofindividuals who will shoot a turkey are increasing, dedicated turkey hunterswho carry their passion as a title or approach it in a manner as being moreimportant than a profession remain sparse. The Fire Tower presents a rare glimpse into the reflections of justsuch a dedicated turkey hunter. In itssimplest form, it is a book of stories. But it is also a book that interweavesa degree of philosophical opinion while at the same time paying tribute to threeauthors who have profoundly influenced the author's pursuit through theirliterary works. The attempt is to connect the past and present and let thealready printed arguments hold the water. The unlegislated rules regardingturkey hunting have already been written once, and he sees no reason to rewordthem in credit of himself. It would do all of us modern day turkey hunters abit of good to review the thoughts of past generation turkey hunters. Besides,a few things they used to do just may have been better.
