Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Historic Doubts as to the Execution of Marshal Ney is a book written by James A. Weston in 1895. The book is a historical investigation into the execution of Marshal Ney, a French military commander who was sentenced to death by firing squad in 1815 for his role in Napoleon Bonaparte's Hundred Days campaign. Weston raises doubts about the authenticity of Ney's execution and explores the possibility that the French government staged his death to appease the victorious Allied powers. The book examines eyewitness accounts of the execution, as well as official records and contemporary accounts of the events leading up to it. Weston also delves into the political and military climate of the time, and the motivations of the various parties involved. The book is considered a seminal work in the field of historical revisionism and has been the subject of much debate and controversy over the years. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
