Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

McLoughlin and Old Oregon is a historical biography written by Eve Emery Dye. The book tells the story of John McLoughlin, a prominent figure in the history of the Pacific Northwest, and his role in the development of the Oregon Territory in the 19th century. McLoughlin was a chief factor for the Hudson's Bay Company, and his leadership and business acumen helped establish the fur trade in the region. The book also explores McLoughlin's relationships with the Native American tribes in the area, his involvement in the Oregon Trail, and his eventual fall from grace due to political tensions. Dye's writing style is engaging and informative, and the book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of the American West. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
