Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Lance Whitman -- handsome, successful ladies' man, brilliant actor -- is hungrier for peer acceptance than for critical acclaim, and trying to shake a reputation as a "difficult" star. But Lance's deepest heartache is his longing for his two precious children, whom his cruel ex-wife has not allowed him to see for nearly three years.Psychologist Polly Bartholomew, Whitman's seamstress for what was supposed to be a "fun" redecorating job on his remote, northeast Arizona ranch, aches with him and sees the popular screen icon drinking himself to death, attempting to escape the pain. The actor's appreciation for her increasing empathy becomes desire... and when he expresses it to her, she also begins to feel the forbidden attraction. Her lover, retired quarterback Ben Shepherd, aware of some dark secret Polly and Lance Whitman share, resents the growing closeness between the two as much as he resents Polly's continuing reluctance to set their wedding date. But meanwhile, Ben has a secret of his own -- one he must keep hidden from Polly at all costs... A crisis could tear them apart..."...Ten times better than your first novel -- which was great! You've penned an emotional masterpiece! Fantastic! "-- A Previewer
