""Adventures Of A Colonist Or Godfrey Arabin The Settler"" is a novel written by Thomas McCombie. The story revolves around the life of Godfrey Arabin, a young man who leaves his comfortable life in England to start a new life as a settler in the colonies. The book chronicles his journey from England to the colonies, his experiences as a settler, and the challenges he faces in his new life. Through Godfrey's eyes, the reader gets a glimpse into the hardships and struggles faced by early settlers in the colonies, as well as the sense of adventure and hope that drove them to leave their old lives behind. The novel is filled with vivid descriptions of the landscapes, people, and cultures of the colonies, and offers a fascinating insight into the early history of America. Overall, ""Adventures Of A Colonist Or Godfrey Arabin The Settler"" is a gripping and insightful novel that provides a unique perspective on the early days of America. In his humble sleeping-room Arabin lived in a fictitious world; from the occasional neglect of his studies, he was regarded by his teachers as a boy of slender abilities; nay, he often feigned bad health to escape the irksome restraints of a public school. At certain periods, however, the meanness of such conduct would break upon his mind. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
