Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Ballads of Peace in War"" is a collection of poems written by Michael Earls during his time as a soldier in the Vietnam War. The book contains 21 ballads that reflect the author's experiences and emotions during the war. The poems cover a range of topics, including the horrors of combat, the loss of comrades, and the struggle to maintain hope and humanity in the face of violence and destruction. Despite the bleak subject matter, the ballads also offer glimpses of beauty and compassion, as Earls finds moments of connection with his fellow soldiers and the Vietnamese people. The book is a powerful testament to the human cost of war and the enduring power of poetry to capture and convey the complexities of the human experience.Ye Who Heed A Nation's Call And Speed To Arms Therefor, Ye Who Fear Your Children's March To Perils Of The War,-- Soldiers Of The Deck And Camp And Mothers Of Our Men, Hearken To A Tale Of France And Tell It Oft Again. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
