Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Cap'n Eri is a novel written by Joseph C. Lincoln that follows the life of a sea captain named Eri. The story is set in the small town of East Wellmouth on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and is told through the eyes of a young man named David. David is a newcomer to the town and is fascinated by Cap'n Eri's stories of his adventures at sea. As the two become friends, David learns about the captain's past and the challenges he faces in his old age. The book explores themes of friendship, aging, and the importance of community. It also offers a glimpse into the unique culture and way of life in a small New England town. Overall, Cap'n Eri is a heartwarming and uplifting tale that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.Conversation among the captains was, for the next two days, confined to two topics, speculation as to how soon they might expect a reply from the Nantucket female and whether or not Mr. Langley would discharge Hazeltine. On the latter point Captain Eri was decided. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
