Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Elsie's Girlhood is a novel written by Martha Finley that tells the story of a young girl named Elsie Dinsmore. The book is set in the mid-19th century and follows Elsie's life as she grows up and faces various challenges and obstacles. Elsie is a devout Christian who strives to live a virtuous life, but she must navigate difficult family relationships and societal pressures that threaten to pull her away from her beliefs. Throughout the book, Elsie learns important lessons about forgiveness, perseverance, and the importance of faith. The novel is part of a larger series of books that follow Elsie's life and adventures.""Ah! and I am to understand that you would like me to gratify it, eh?"" returned her husband, smiling. ""Her dress and the arrangement of her hair are in a style peculiarly her own (unless she has become more fashionable since I saw her, which is not likely); and she has an odd way of transposing her sentences and the names of those she addresses or introduces, or calling them by some other name suggested by some association with the real one. Miss Bell, for instance, she would probably call Miss King; Mr. Foot, Mr. Shoe, and so on.""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
