Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Epistles on the Arian Heresy and the Deposition of Arius"" is a collection of letters written by Alexander of Constantinople, a prominent figure in the early Christian Church. The letters address the Arian heresy, a theological dispute that arose in the fourth century over the nature of Jesus Christ and his relationship to God. The Arians believed that Jesus was a created being, while Alexander and his supporters held to the orthodox view that Jesus was co-eternal and consubstantial with God the Father. The letters also detail the deposition of Arius, the leader of the Arian movement, at the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE. Alexander's writings are considered an important historical record of the early Church and its struggles to define its doctrines and beliefs. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
