Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The Story of a White Rocking Horse"" is a children's book written by Laura Lee Hope. The story revolves around a white rocking horse named Snowdrop who lives in a toy shop. Snowdrop dreams of having a child of her own to ride on her back and take her on adventures. One day, a little girl named Lucy comes into the shop and falls in love with Snowdrop. Lucy's parents buy the rocking horse for her, and Snowdrop finally gets her wish. Lucy and Snowdrop go on many adventures together, but one day, Lucy grows up and no longer plays with Snowdrop. The rocking horse is eventually sold to another family, and Snowdrop must adjust to a new home and a new child. Throughout the story, Snowdrop learns about love, friendship, and the joys of being a child's toy. The book is filled with charming illustrations that bring the story to life, making it a delightful read for young children. And the White Horse himself, though he dared say nothing just then, thought how glad he would be to have his broken leg mended. Some of the splinters were sticking him, and though of course I do not mean to say that a wooden horse has the same pain with a broken leg as a boy or girl or a chicken or a rooster would have, still it is no fun. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
