Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Christ Of Promise In Homer, Hesiod, Vergil, Ovid And Horace is a book written by Vincent A. Fitz Simon. The book explores the representation of Christ in the works of ancient Greek and Roman poets, including Homer, Hesiod, Vergil, Ovid, and Horace. The author argues that these poets, despite being pagans, anticipated the coming of Christ through their descriptions of a savior figure who would bring hope and salvation to humanity. Fitz Simon examines the similarities between the pagan and Christian concepts of redemption, sacrifice, and divine intervention. The book provides a fascinating insight into the intersection of classical literature and Christian theology, and offers a fresh perspective on the enduring relevance of ancient poetry. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
