Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Book of Hosea is a religious text written by T.K. Cheyne that is centered around the biblical prophet Hosea. The book is part of the Old Testament and is considered one of the twelve minor prophets. The text is divided into 14 chapters and is written in a poetic style. The main theme of the book is the relationship between God and Israel. Hosea is called by God to marry a prostitute named Gomer, which is used as a metaphor for the unfaithfulness of Israel towards God. Hosea is instructed to forgive Gomer and bring her back into his home, just as God forgives Israel and brings them back into his grace. The book also contains prophecies of judgement and redemption for Israel. Cheyne provides commentary and analysis of the text, as well as historical and cultural context. The Book of Hosea is an important religious text for Christians and Jews, and is studied for its teachings on love, forgiveness, and faithfulness. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
