Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Irish Priests In The Penal Times 1660-1760 is a historical book written by William P. Burke. The book provides a comprehensive account of the persecution and hardships faced by Irish priests during the Penal Times in Ireland, a period from 1660 to 1760. The Penal Times were a time when the English government imposed strict laws and penalties on Irish Catholics, including the banning of Catholic worship and the execution of priests. Burke's book delves into the lives of these brave Irish priests who risked their lives to minister to their congregations and keep the Catholic faith alive in Ireland. The book covers topics such as the formation of secret Masses, the use of hidden chapels, and the establishment of underground seminaries. The author also explores the role of Irish priests in the political and social life of Ireland during this time. The Irish Priests In The Penal Times 1660-1760 is a well-researched and informative book that sheds light on a dark period in Irish history and the resilience of the Irish people in the face of persecution. From The State Papers In The H.
