Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Life of Saint Francis of Assisi is a biography written by French theologian and historian, Paul Sabatier. The book tells the story of the life and teachings of Saint Francis, a Catholic friar and preacher who founded the Franciscan order in the 13th century. Sabatier's account of Saint Francis' life is based on historical documents and accounts of his contemporaries, as well as his own interpretation of the saint's spiritual writings. The book covers Saint Francis' early life as a wealthy merchant's son, his conversion to a life of poverty and devotion to God, his travels and missionary work, and his establishment of the Franciscan order. Sabatier also explores Saint Francis' teachings on poverty, humility, and love for all of God's creation, and how these teachings continue to inspire people today. The Life of Saint Francis of Assisi is a comprehensive and insightful look into the life of one of the most beloved saints in Catholic history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
