Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A Soldier's Experience Or A Voice From The Ranks is a book written by Timothy Gowing. This book is a personal account of his experiences as a soldier during the American Civil War. Gowing was a member of the 9th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment and fought in several major battles, including the Battle of Antietam and the Battle of Fredericksburg. Gowing's memoir provides a unique perspective on the war, as he writes from the perspective of an ordinary soldier rather than a high-ranking officer. He describes the daily life of a soldier, including the challenges of marching long distances, sleeping in the open air, and dealing with the harsh realities of war. The book also includes detailed descriptions of the battles in which Gowing fought, including his personal experiences and observations of the events. He recounts the chaos and confusion of battle, the bravery of his fellow soldiers, and the devastating losses suffered by both sides. A Soldier's Experience Or A Voice From The Ranks offers a firsthand account of the American Civil War that is both informative and engaging. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in this pivotal moment in American history, and a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in it.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
