Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Vicarious Sacrifice, Grounded In Principles Of Universal Obligation is a book written by Horace Bushnell. The book explores the concept of vicarious sacrifice, which is the idea that one person can suffer and die to atone for the sins of others. Bushnell argues that this concept is grounded in principles of universal obligation, meaning that all people have a responsibility to act in the best interest of others.Throughout the book, Bushnell discusses the historical and theological roots of the idea of vicarious sacrifice, drawing on biblical texts and the teachings of Christian theologians. He also explores the implications of this concept for ethics and morality, arguing that it provides a framework for understanding the importance of self-sacrifice and altruism. The book is written in a clear and accessible style, making it suitable for both scholars and general readers. It is a thought-provoking work that challenges readers to consider the nature of sacrifice, obligation, and morality in the context of religious belief. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
