Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Military Service and Adventures in the Far East"" is a two-volume memoir written by Daniel Henry Mackinnon, chronicling his experiences as a British soldier serving in the Far East during the mid-19th century. Volume 2 of the memoir focuses on Mackinnon's participation in two major military campaigns: the First Anglo-Afghan War of 1839 and the First Anglo-Sikh War of 1845-46. Mackinnon provides detailed accounts of the battles, strategies, and key players involved in each conflict, as well as his own personal experiences as a soldier on the front lines. Along with his military service, Mackinnon also includes sketches and descriptions of the people, cultures, and landscapes he encountered during his travels in India and the Far East. Overall, ""Military Service and Adventures in the Far East"" provides a vivid and informative account of British military operations in the region during a critical period of colonial expansion and conflict. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
