Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The book ""Trial And Acquittal Of Lyman Beecher: Before The Presbytery Of Cincinnati On Charges Preferred By Joshua L. Wilson"" by Arthur Stansbury is a historical account of the trial of Lyman Beecher, a prominent Presbyterian minister in the United States in the early 19th century. The book details the charges brought against Beecher by Joshua L. Wilson, another Presbyterian minister, and the subsequent trial before the Presbytery of Cincinnati. The charges against Beecher included allegations of heresy and false teaching, specifically related to his views on the doctrine of original sin. The book provides a comprehensive account of the trial proceedings, including witness testimony and arguments presented by both sides. Ultimately, Beecher was acquitted of all charges, and the book provides insight into the debates and controversies that were prevalent in the Presbyterian Church at the time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
