Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Every-Man: A Morality is a play that was published by the printer Richard Pynson in the late 15th century. It is a classic example of a morality play, which was a popular form of drama during the medieval period. The play tells the story of Everyman, a character who represents all of humanity, as he faces the inevitability of death and the judgment of God. Everyman is accompanied on his journey by various allegorical figures, including Fellowship, Kindred, and Goods, who all abandon him as he approaches death. Only Good Deeds remains with Everyman until the end, and it is through her that he is able to find salvation. The play is a powerful meditation on the transience of life and the importance of living a virtuous existence. It has been widely performed and adapted over the centuries and remains a significant work of medieval literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
