""Recollections Of An Ill-Fated Expedition To The Headwaters Of The Madeira River In Brazil"" is a memoir written by Neville B. Craig. The book details his experiences on an expedition to explore the headwaters of the Madeira River in Brazil in the early 20th century. The expedition was plagued with challenges, including difficult terrain, dangerous animals, and hostile indigenous tribes. Craig describes the harsh living conditions, the struggles to find food and water, and the conflicts between the members of the expedition. Despite these difficulties, the team continued on their mission to map the region and gather scientific data. However, the expedition ultimately ended in tragedy, with many members losing their lives due to disease and violence. Craig's memoir provides a firsthand account of this ill-fated expedition and sheds light on the challenges faced by explorers in the early 1900s.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
