Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Love Among the Artists is a novel written by the renowned playwright and critic George Bernard Shaw. Set in the artistic circles of London in the 1880s, the story follows the love affairs of a group of young artists and writers who are struggling to make their mark in the world. The central character is Owen Jack, a talented but self-absorbed artist who is torn between his love for two women: the beautiful and passionate artist Minnie Doran, and the intelligent and independent writer Beatrice Lamb. As Owen navigates the complexities of his relationships with these two women, he also grapples with the challenges of pursuing a career in the arts, including the harsh realities of poverty, rejection, and artistic rivalry. Shaw's novel is a witty and incisive commentary on the artistic and social milieu of his time, as well as a poignant exploration of the complexities of love, desire, and ambition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
