Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bradford's History of Plymouth Plantation 1606-1646 is a historical account of the early years of the Plymouth Colony in what is now Massachusetts. The book was written by William Bradford, one of the leaders of the colony, and covers the period from the colony's founding in 1606 to 1646, a time of great hardship and struggle for the early settlers. The book is divided into two parts. The first part describes the reasons for the colonists' journey to America, their voyage across the Atlantic, and their early years in the New World. It also includes descriptions of the interactions between the colonists and the Native Americans who lived in the area. The second part of the book focuses on the years of conflict and hardship that the colonists faced, including the outbreak of war with the Native Americans, the struggles to establish a viable economy, and the challenges of living in a harsh and unforgiving environment. It also includes accounts of the famous first Thanksgiving feast and the arrival of new colonists, including the famous Pilgrims.Throughout the book, Bradford provides a detailed and personal account of the experiences of the Plymouth colonists, including their religious beliefs, social customs, and daily life. The book is a valuable historical document that provides a unique insight into the early years of American history and the struggles of the people who helped to build the country. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
