Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Right and Duty or Citizen and Soldier: Switzerland Prepared and at Peace, a Model for the United States"" is a book written by Frederick Arnold Kuenzli. The book focuses on Switzerland and its unique political and military system, which emphasizes the importance of citizen participation in defense and governance. Kuenzli argues that the Swiss model could serve as a valuable example for the United States, which he believes has become too reliant on a professional military and has lost sight of the importance of civic duty. The book covers topics such as the history of Swiss neutrality, the role of citizen militias, and the benefits of a decentralized political system. Overall, ""Right and Duty or Citizen and Soldier"" offers a thought-provoking analysis of the Swiss model and its potential relevance for the United States. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
