Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The First Christmas Tree: A Story of the Forest is a heartwarming tale written by Henry Van Dyke. The book tells the story of a young boy named Winfried who lived in the German forest. Winfried, who later became known as Saint Boniface, was a devout Christian who wanted to share the message of Christmas with the people of his village. One day, while walking in the forest, Winfried came across a group of people who were worshipping an oak tree. He knew that this was not the way to celebrate Christmas and decided to cut down the tree. As he was about to do so, he noticed a small fir tree growing nearby. He took the fir tree and told the people that it was a symbol of the love and peace of Christ. The book follows Winfried's journey as he spreads the message of Christmas throughout the forest, and how the small fir tree became the first Christmas tree. The story is beautifully written and is accompanied by stunning illustrations that bring the forest to life.Overall, The First Christmas Tree: A Story of the Forest is a heartwarming tale that reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of sharing love and peace with others. It is a perfect book to read with family and friends during the holiday season. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
