The Exiles Of Florida: Or The Crimes Committed By Our Government Against The Maroons, Who Fled From South Carolina And Other Slave States is a book written by Joshua R. Giddings. This book is an account of the crimes committed by the United States government against the Maroons, who were slaves that fled from South Carolina and other slave states to Florida. The book provides a detailed history of the Maroons, their struggles, and the atrocities committed against them by the government. Giddings also highlights the hypocrisy of the government, which claimed to be a champion of freedom and democracy but engaged in the enslavement and oppression of its own citizens. This book is a powerful indictment of the United States government's treatment of the Maroons and a call to action for justice and freedom for all people.
