Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bishop Colenso's Objections to the Historical Character of the Pentateuch and the Book of Joshua is a book written by John William Colenso, a bishop of the Anglican Church in South Africa. In this book, Colenso questions the historical accuracy of the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament) and the Book of Joshua. He argues that many of the events described in these books are unlikely or impossible, and that they were likely written much later than the time they purport to describe. Colenso's objections to the historical character of these books were controversial in his time, and this book was one of the first to challenge traditional biblical scholarship. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
