A Choice Collection Of Tyneside Songs is a book of traditional songs from the Tyneside area of England, compiled and edited by Edward Corvan and originally published in 1863. The book features lyrics and sheet music for over 70 songs, many of which were popular in the local music halls and pubs of the time. The songs cover a range of themes, from love and romance to work and industry, and offer a fascinating insight into the cultural and social history of the region. Corvan, a popular Tyneside songwriter and performer in the mid-19th century, was known for his humorous and satirical songs, and many of his own compositions are included in the collection.
