Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A Defense of Southern Slavery: Against the Attacks of Henry Clay and Alexander Campbell is a book written in 1851 by an anonymous Southern Clergyman. The book is a response to the criticism of slavery by Henry Clay and Alexander Campbell, two prominent figures in American politics and religion. The author argues that slavery is not only justified by the Bible, but also necessary for the economic prosperity of the South. The book defends the institution of slavery as a positive good, claiming that it benefits both the slave owners and the slaves themselves. The author also argues that the abolition of slavery would lead to the collapse of the Southern economy and the destruction of the social order. The book is a controversial defense of slavery, which was a divisive issue in American politics and society at the time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
