Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""A Secular View Of Religion In The State, And The Bible In The Public Schools"" is a book written by Elisha P. Hurlbut in 1870. The book explores the relationship between religion and the state, as well as the role of the Bible in public schools. Hurlbut presents a secular perspective on these issues, arguing that religion should not be intertwined with government and that public schools should not promote any particular religious beliefs. He also argues that the Bible should not be used as a textbook in public schools, as it is a religious text and not appropriate for a secular education system. Hurlbut's book provides a historical perspective on these issues, as they were debated in the United States during the 19th century. Overall, ""A Secular View Of Religion In The State, And The Bible In The Public Schools"" is an important contribution to the ongoing debate over the role of religion in public life. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
