Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bushy: A Romance Founded On Fact is a novel written by Cynthia May Westover and published in 1896. The story is set in the early 19th century in rural New England and revolves around the life of a young woman named Bushy. The novel is based on true events and is a romanticized account of the author's own family history. Bushy is the daughter of a poor farmer and grows up in a small village. She is a spirited and independent young woman who dreams of a better life. When she meets a wealthy and handsome young man named David, she falls in love with him. Despite the differences in their social status, David is also attracted to Bushy and they begin a secret courtship. However, their romance is threatened by David's overbearing mother, who disapproves of Bushy and wants him to marry someone of his own social class. As their relationship becomes more complicated, Bushy must navigate the challenges of love, family, and social expectations. The novel is a classic example of American romantic fiction and explores themes of class, gender, and social mobility. It also provides a vivid portrait of rural life in early 19th century America. Overall, Bushy: A Romance Founded On Fact is a captivating and engaging novel that offers a glimpse into a bygone era of American history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
