Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bellum Catilinae and Catilinarian Conspiracy is a historical work written by the Roman historian Sallust in 1884. The book documents the events leading up to the Catilinarian Conspiracy, a plot by the Roman senator Catiline to overthrow the Roman Republic in 63 BC. Sallust provides a detailed account of the political and social climate of Rome at the time, including the corruption and decadence of the ruling class, and the growing discontent among the lower classes. The book also chronicles the efforts of Cicero, a prominent Roman politician and orator, to thwart the conspiracy and preserve the Republic. Bellum Catilinae and Catilinarian Conspiracy is considered a valuable historical document for its insights into the political and social dynamics of ancient Rome, as well as its vivid portrayal of the characters and events involved in the conspiracy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
